Amazing experience. ! Most beautiful venue Gorgeous estate, elegant Restiarant . Amazing food beautifully presented . Welcoming staff and delightful manageress Sally Ann. It's a night or day out - Varied price range, worth the experience . Look forward to our next visit Helen Rosin
The words tranquillity and beauty reign when you drive onto the estate and this is the feeling that overwhelms you when you enter this beautiful restaurant. The service is excellent with friendly efficient staff ensuring a wonderful food and wine experience. The prices are surprisingly reasonable now too. Visitors we take there are always blown away by the experience. Definitely a must-visit.

The Judges in MasterChef SA always made reference to the number of elements on a plate. I have just "met" a plate with no fewer than 8 wonderful elements! The North Afican Platter at Zinzi. An amazing experience of North African and Middle East flavours. The pork belly with prune sauce and honey roasted veggies...delicious! And when my wife sings the praises of the Sirlion, which is her less favourite cut it has to be good. In the forest next to Plett lingers a MasterChef! Service and ambience is 5 star. Needless to add that the food and drinks also deserves a 5.

We dined here during the long weekend in April and had the most fantastic experience. The venue is beautiful, with its luxurious decor and soft lighting. The food was outstanding, my partner and I ate much more than we should have but it was too good to stop! The presentation of the food was clearly the result of a chef's passion for his work. The service was polite and attentive while keeping their distance which allowed for an intimate evening. What surprised us even more was the very reasonable bill at the end of the evening. It is very rare that you can enjoy such outstanding food and not pay an arm and a leg in South Africa! It is just such a pity that this restaurant is so far away from home, but I will definitely be recommending it to all! Thank you Zinzi's for a perfect ending to a great weekend!

We ate at Zinzi last week during the Knysna Oyster Festival and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. My sister and her partner had eaten there a few days before and raved about it so they invited us to dine out with them and some friends. On arrival we were presented with a complimentary flute of Tsalas very own sparkling wine (which was very good) to enjoy on the outside deck at the fire. The decor is exquisite - I enquired about the lanterns and the manager told me the owners daughter owns Imagenius in Cape Town and that she did the decorating. So you can imagine it is beautiful. Large, solid wooden tables and leather ottomans, lots of candlelight and beaded chandeliers set the mood. It is very African but so contemporary. The service wasnt the best, but my sister couldnt understand because they had had such excellent service on the Friday night. So we put it down to a quiet mid-week night. The food was out of this world. The chef even personally came to our table to introduce herself and to ask how we enjoyed the meal. A variety of platters are on offer for starters (or as a main course if you like that sort of eating style) with themes like Cape Dutch, Mediterranean, International and so on. We had the Zinzi, our friends had the Cape Dutch but there was an option where you have tasting portions of several menu items, which was a real winner. My sisters boyfriend ordered the sweet potato, chickpea and coriander soup as a main course based on the little taster he had on the platter. I had the walnut and butterbean curry which was delicious, and my fiance had the lamb shank served with Moroccan couscous which was outstanding. Highly recommended, not just for the food but for the humility of the staff and the beautiful atmosphere.
