Zevenwaght Manor house restaurant is top quality!

I have now celebrated a few special occasions at Zevenwacht, and each has been more fantastic than the rest. The setting is beautiful, with a wide patio overlooking the grassy lawns and dam. The menu is great, with fabulously well-priced estate wines. Highly recommend the chicken livers (cooked to your desired heat), as well as the duck, and the chicken and prawn curry. Yum!

We had a wonderful father's day lunch here, the food was really delicious and the service was outstanding. The views were breathtaking - all in all a very memorable afternoon. I would definately recommend it.

Disappointing. Beautiful surroundings and nicely-decorated, but the food was underwhelming (and overpriced) and the service lacklustre. Was there with a group and there was little choice on the menu. Ended up with sandwiches. I had gypsy ham with Zevenwacht 3 year cheese (which tasted rather like Tussers), pesto (not even half a tsp) and peppers. It was really boring and too pricey. Waitress never smiled and brought each item in one at a time, instead of putting them on a tray, so that service could be sped up. Considering that almost all of us ordered sandwiches, juice and coffee, a wait of 30 - 45 minutes is excessive.
Love this restaurant - the food is consistently good and the waiters are superb. My only complaint is that the menu hasnt changed for almost a year!
