Myself and my !pregnant wife! Were invited by friends (table of 6) to promise grill for the sushi special... the sushi was so special we ended up waiting 3 hours for our order, i got up to speak to the manager he apologised and promised to hurry things along... 30 min later i went to talk to him again and he was off to sort it out, again.. ended up getting our order 15 min later but half the order was missing so had to talk to the manager again.. Needless to say we ended up paying for something that we didn't eat!! We took a take away but then to get the bill was another 20 min of waiting.. The manager told us he is sorry but if we came earlier things would have been better but we had a booking and 4 hours ago it was early!! By the time I got to eat the food, it was tasteless and looked as if there was no effort put into making it.. I can honestly say I will never return!!

Had dinner at The Promise Grill last night. The food was good but the service was the worst I have experienced for a long time.

This is just to thank the management and staff of The Promise Grill in Meyerdal Alberton. We arranged a party for 38 people on Saturday 26 Jan 2013. The service was spectacular, value of the menu was great. Not only the great assistance in setting up the venue allowing us to stick up some Happy Birthday signs and have personalised menus.

You will see us again.

People were ranting and raving to go eat out at Promise Grill Meyersdal - Wow what a disappointing exerience on 04/12/2012! I never had such a bad experience. My family and I had the sushi eat as much as you like - the food took awefully long and the kids ordered burgers. My 4 year old daughter was sick - at the time we never knew that the burger was the cause then her oupa tasted the burger, complained to the waiter and he agreed - it was brought to managements attention. Service was slow - I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone in future and I will also have to check my kids meals before they eat.
