Serendipity was recommended by a friend and now we know why - fabulous food, service, location and we enjoyed local cuisine. We enjoyed stunning food and also appreciated their taking care of my allergy concerns - we felt they really took care of me with such special service. We will recommend highly to all our travelling friends!

My husband and I had a once-in-a-lifetime experience at Serendipity a few evenings ago. We took advantage of their dinner pickup service, which was perfectly on time and very reasonably priced. Every meal course was incredibly intentional, fresh, and delicious. I have a gluten intolerance, and the staff accommodated on every course. We loved every wine pairing as well. Thank you SO much to the team as Serendipity - this was the highlight of our honeymoon in South Africa!

We often dine at this wonderful restaurant and are always thoroughly impressed. The warm atmosphere and friendly staff create a welcoming environment from the moment you walk in. Lizelle and her husband Rudolf are standout hosts, making every visit a delight with their engaging presence and impeccable service. The food is both beautifully presented and exceptionally flavorful—it's clear that great care goes into each dish. This restaurant truly offers a dining experience unlike any other in the Garden Route. Highly recommended!

We have been an affection-ados of Serendipity since they first opened around 20 years ago. Since the humble beginnings Lizelle has sought to make this restaurant somewhere that diners will talk about afterwards. Her culinary skills are wonderful and she makes every creation so flavoursome which is why she has succeeded in winning so many prestigious awards over the years. Menus change fairly frequently. Wine pairing available if required but they have an extensive cellar. They grow their own mushrooms (or forage locally) and make their own salami (have eaten pigeon and wild pig). Vegetarians catered for on the menu. Not to be missed if passing by or wanting to stay. Bookings are essential, especially in peak times as space is limited. Go there!!!!!!
