I went in with high hopes, but the food was lackluster. I tried the dumplings, Pho and a few other sides and nothing really grabbed my attention, despite sounding great on the menu. I didn't drink and felt like the server lost a lot of interest in me when I didn't order cocktails or other alcohol.

Utterly underwhelming... the decor is really something special and we were welcomed with open arms, but beyond drinks there is not much to say about Saigon Suzy. We were told that there was a 30-45 minute wait which extended well beyond that. By the time we ate, not even hunger could force it down and basically everything from our 6pax table went back. The reason, they have only been open for two weeks. The dishes we were looking forward to we were told they have run out which was only communicated when the food didn’t arrive. Wouldn’t recommend the platter for 2... at nearly R300 a board arrived dotted with some finger things that really shouldn’t be advertised as a sharing meal. We were surprised by the promise of free beer when cracking open our fortune cookies but can only order one brand... figured since we had been drinking beer throughout the night it was clear this brand wasn’t one of choice. The most disappointing part was when the bill arrived and a dish that was inedible because of the amount of chillie, where literally the entire dish had been sent back was not credited on the bill. Oh yes, but they have only been open for 2 weeks and their kitchen of about 10 chefs is under an incredible amount of pressure to serve a restaurant of approximately 50 seats. The night was basically a cascade of let’s downs and disappointments and I really hope to see these points being looked at.

If you are Asian or been to Vietnam or any Asian country, you will know better that the food is not that authentic. Extremely overpriced. Broth was not even warm let alone hot. No coriander!! Mint leaves were not even fresh. The only positive thing was the ambience but minus the horrible non-Asian music. Will not go back. No, tks.

What a place ! Everything from the food, to the service, to the vibe - and not to mention the add-on of karaoke ! I love it and will definitely be back !
