I was served by Tendai (TK) he was meticulous, when he asked if the food was ok and I responded that the lamb shank was just dry he and his manager attended to my query. This made me feel at home and gave me the confidence that they are not after profits but have a bigger vision on their ROI (return on investment). Just to top it all since it was my birthday I got a complimentary ice cream of smooth texture with balanced sugars. I will definitely find myself at that spot again - Relish Bistro.

Monthly breakfast club had our second breakfast in a row at this venue and what a pleasure it was, again! We've been all over town and all agree, so far this venue get top marks, especially the service. Wish the traffic could be toned down, but fortunately the setting with the park to the one side and the beautiful trees compensates totally and makes you forget you are between 2 of Pretoria's busiest streets. As the 6 of us comes from all corners of the city, the venue is excellently located.
We wish to especially mention our waiter Donald who handled our orders with the utmost courtesy and patience and the manager (unfortunately did not note his name) who ensured that everybody was served in time for all to enjoy the meal together and piping hot. This seem to be a major challenge for many venues. We have had many a mishap in this regard (for example Carlton Cafe, who thankfully closed down)
All in all, we recommend this bistro and wish them all the best in the time to come.

My name is Louisa, I am residing in Alberton, Gauteng. I was invited 3 weeks ago on a Sunday afternoon by an old friend. The music, the food the surroundings, very friendly and dedicated staff especially Ashford 'Ashy" he made me feel so welcome. I enjoyed each and every minute.
I will definitely take a Sunday drive from Alberton to the Relish Bistro, Hatfield/Pretoria and spend my Sunday afternoon enjoying good food, music and very friendly people.

I am a temporary resident of the area - Hatfield/Colbyn. A month ago I arrived and immediately explored for some hang out places. Luckily passed RB and turned in at the pretty parking outside under trees - almost felt like a wine farm! A friendly welcome from the Maitre De. Lovely seating outside. The waiter's name was Ashford - "Call me Ashy". With his huge friendly smile and excellent service he made my day and the main reason I have been back there many times. I wanted an omelette (none on the menu) - they gave me a price and made me a delicious one with the ingredients I preferred. That kind of adaption from a medium to high end restaurant is rare. The duo sosatie tapas of beef and chicken is exceptional value at R38. The hamburger there is not very good unfortunately. The pattie is of inferior quality compared to Cafe Barcelona or Roco Mamas (both close by). I have not had their steak but if the tapas beef is an indication it should be great.
All round attentiveness and smiles from all staff. The place has many different ambiances. The bar has a real sporty vibe while the formal area seems romantic. The stoep has it's own charm right on a busy street. The live music on a Sunday from 12:00 is excellent and in sinc with the garden area. In all - great place to spend your time and money.
