Prosopa’s extensive Mediterranean menu is influenced by the flavours of Greece, Portugal and Spain. The signature lamb dish Kleftiko is deboned leg of lamb wrapped in vine leaves & foil stuffed with feta, fresh tomato, herbs and spices and slow roasted in the oven. An option one cannot stay away from is the fantastic array of mezze one can have on a platter or individually.
The extensive award-winning wine list offers many a gem to be enjoyed beside the fireplace on a cold winter’s night or on the veranda with the curtains blowing in a soft summer breeze.

We got my birthday dinner at Prosopa. Nice restuarant and friendly service. They made special meal for my son, and provided drinks for my birthday. Place looks very pleasing and relaxing. We will go back for another round... we meet partner who took time to explain the interesting history of his establishment...15 years of great service..

I took my girlfriend for dinner at Prosopa on Friday evening. We drove 2hours for this special dinner and boy were we surprised. The quility of wine they have is unbelievable. We had a nice Red Cab Sauv with the special of the night. 200g of the best beef fillet, a slice of cheese and a perfect black peppercorn sauce. It came with the most amazing little potato squares which had a hint of lemon and fresh greenbeans cooked in garlic. The meal was to die for. The best part came with the dessert. I had a soft smooth chocolate cheese cake. My girlfriend had one of their special deserts. A berry meringue. O wow, what a treat that was. I even put my finger in the plate after she finished. Dino came to great us at the table. We had a nice chat and after hearing it was our first time at his restaurant, he sent us an amazing starter. A crispy eggplant sliced chips with garlic and cheese on top. He converted me to eat eggplant after trying this starter. Our experience was truly magical and would recommend everyone to go and try some of his food creations. Thank you Dino!!

After reading about Prosopa in Eat Out, my husband and I decided to treat ourselves for our 14 year anniversary and what better place as we love Greek / Mediterranean food. The food was perfection. I had the lamb kleftiko and my hubby had the chocolate chilli steak. The meals were both cooked to perfection and we will most definitely be visiting them again...next time with our kids

We were recommended Proposa by friends when looking for a good Greek restaurant in Pretoria.
All the food was well-prepared and brought to our table timeously. We couldn't fault the service from our waiter or the manager Duncan, who is very knowledgeable about their wines and what to pair it with (they also have monthly wine pairing evenings).
They do not only cater for the Greek experience, but Mediterranean as well, so you have a wide range of choices from the menu, or if their is something specific, ask the staff and they might be able to help.
We had to change our reservation from the Saturday evening to Sunday lunch, due to conflicting appointments, but still managed to get a booth (would recommend this). They weren't too busy when we did go on the Sunday, but ambiance was still great, and would like to pay them a visit in the evening to compare.

My husband and I went here on a Sunday evening for our wedding anniversary and had the place almost entirely to ourselves. The ambiance was elegant and romantic and the food was delicious! We had a question about whether there was any MSG in the food as I am allergic and the chef came out personally to assure us that he is very careful with the ingredients he uses and does not believe in using MSG in his cooking. We felt very reassured. I ordered chicken stuffed with pesto and feta in a creamy tomato sauce and the flavors were amazing. So yummy. My husband had their specialty of stuffed lamb wrapped in leaves which was also perfectly done. We were very happy with our experience at Prosopa and will definitely be visiting again.
