Consistent great food !

I always come for a Monday Burger Special. The Burgers were soo meaty & succulent. I really enjoyed them. Will definitely be coming back. Amazing service too.

What an amazing little restaurant! The vibe was chilled, the tables beautifully set and the service amazing. The food was delicious and the dessert - yum! The portions were worth the price. Even the children’s chicken strips and chips was enough for both of my children to share. There is a children’s play room with a child minder who brings out fresh dough for the children to manipulate. The play room is clean and neat, toys are kept in boxes / drawers. A lovely restaurant to visit, especially if you have little ones.

Olive and Oil … beautiful settings(perfect for a romantic evening out), friendly & helpful staff. However I found it quite uncomfortable to get in & out of my seat, as tables were rather close by. I had booked in advance for a table of 12, as we had a celebration & expected to be seated in a nice corner and not in the ‘middle’ of the restaurant. Also it was so hot in the restuarant we had to step onto the balcony to cool down.
What disappointed me was waiting over 45mins for our mains(thank goodness I ordered Foccacia for the table with our drinks)… my penne pasta(R120 I might add) arrived warm & quite undercooked – also I expected a slightly bigger portion for the price. Being as ravenous as I was I didn’t want bring it to the waiters attention & have to wait any longer. She brought a few bowls of vegetables(which was complimentary-obviously due to the delay).
After having supper, we didn’t even bother to order dessert of coffee as it seemed we would have to rush or would be inconveniencing the restaurant/staff who were already setting up and we were one of the few tables left.
Maybe that was an odd night out but we were disappointed nevertheless, not my first choice to recommend or frequent either.
I would like to add though, that they have an amazing half price lunch deal on Mondays.. my R120 pasta goes for R60/R80.
We found a lovely little chilled out restuarant around the corner who price their pasta at Olive's 'Monday Special' prices ... it's devine & for R85.. well worth it.
