My husband, son and I went to Im Eimer for lunch today Sunday 18 January 2015. We ordered the Jager Schnitzel, Sirloin Steak and Bratwurst. While the Jager Schnitzel was edible the Sirloin Steak was ordered medium rare but arrived medium well. It tasted like old oil and fish as if it was deep fried. I sent the steak back and then tried the Bratwurst that was for my son. The gravy was over reduced and tasted like petrol. My husband, who is a qualified chef with several years experience of cooking as an executive chef in 5 star hotels and restaurants in Germany, then went to the kitchen to complain. The owner verbally attacked him and eventually asked us to leave the restaurant. We would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It can happen in any restaurant that there is a problem with the food, it is all about how they handle the complaint but when the owner cannot take criticism and chases customers out of the restaurant, in front of other customers, it is unacceptable.
