Great location, terrible food!
We frequent Blue lagoon about 10 x per annum and in past few years it is gradually below average. The quality is really poor (at premium price) and service even worse. I remain a loyal supporter in the hope that things will improve (look at Waffle house!).
Blue lagoon has been reduced to a pub with great location and view. Shelly or South coast mall presents much better options for dining as well as a few other great restaurants in area.

The Blue Lagoon Restaurant is situated on Ramsgates blue flag beach, one of the most popular beaches on the Lower South Coast. The restaurant opens every morning form breakfast. They are renowned for their outstanding seafood menu, big portions and value for money. Sit on the veranda with an ice-cold cocktail, relax and feel like you have your feet on the warm beach sand. They are fully licensed and have an excellent wine list. They offer a variety of seafood, steak dishes and desserts.

Staff are friendly and very welcoming. Made us feel right at home. Drinks were served quickly. My wife and I had the platter which had a little of everything and everything was spot on, 100%. Definitely a must to come and have a meal here. Well worth it, you won't be sorry.

We were on holiday in Ramsgate and visited the blue lagoon restaurant twice. First we ate the seafood platter, the best we ever had. The calamari very tender. Definitely a winner. The next time I had the oxtail, very good. My husband had the large fish, he shared it with our grandchildren and still could not finish it. Blue Lagoon in Ramsgate, a must visit

I was not impressed with the bland tasteless seafood pot. The sauce was tasteless and the pot was filled with inedible stringy pieces of crab.
