Should you ever pledge to never eat a platter again, make sure you get to Atasca in Westville before you do! Tuesdays is the 4-the-family Tuesdays for R199.95. The platter came with 8 medium prawns, a serving of chicken livers, beef trinchado and the most delicious, succulent jointed lemon and garlic chicken. The platter would do for at least 3 adults or a family of four as recommended. Should the Tuesday platter for only R199.95 not tempt you at all, and bargains are your thing, you also simply have to pop in for their lunch special (Tuesday to Sundays for 3 course meal at R120 with a glass of wine)! You can say WHAAAT? but believe me, its true! Only R120!!! Choices of starter include the trinchado beef, peri peri livers or my favourite... crispy calamari. Mains options are Prawn Curry, Half a chicken (with your choice of peri peri or lemon and garlic) or a beef dish. AND if you can fit anything else in, there are two choices of dessert. AND ALL FOR ONLY R 120 Seth Effriken Rant! Cant be true, but it is. Their menu also includes Portuguese favourites and delicious HOME MADE chips (none of those frozen thingies they now call chips thank you!) The service was excellent (as always thanks to the supervision of our beautiful and precious Candace), Great spot, fine dining to be enjoyed in the middle of deepest, darkest Westville North. Get yer sweet a**es to Rodger Sishi Road in Westville asap. And sweet Candace tells me that there is live music on Sundays! What's not to love?
