We had booked for Christmas lunch. We had no idea that the restaurant at 12.10 pm would be heaving with loads of children and large families. The lunch was buffet (not advertised as a Buffet lunch) and the place looked like a Rugby scrum. The buffet looked so awful we just left. No staff had come u to ask us who we were and there were tables with dirty plates just left like that. Definitely not for us and we made a swift escape without eating anything. We are looking forward to a lovely dinner somewhere else tonight! Very very down market and not what we had expected or had been led to believe We have been wowed by some quite exquisite and beautiful restaurants in some of the other Wineries so we were bitterly disappointed to find this state of affairs at the Lord Neethling.
