At this year’s Eat Out Mercedes-Benz Restaurant Awards, we’ll be announcing the winners of many prestigious awards, each more coveted than the next. One of these awards is the Eat Out Retail Capital New Restaurant of the Year Award.
To be eligible for the award, the restaurant must have opened in the 12 months prior to the awards (since November 2016). It will be chosen by chief judge Abigail Donnelly and the panel of anonymous judges, in consultation with Eat Out’s panel of nation-wide critics.
Last year the winner was newcomer Foxcroft, in Constantia, headed up by decorated executive chef, Scot Kirton, and renowned pastry chef, Glen Williams.
This year will see a new winner who has wowed the judges in its first year – arguably the most difficult in any restaurant’s existence. The award will be announced at the Eat Out Mercedes-Benz Restaurant Awards on 19 November. Tickets are sold out, but follow Eat Out on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, or #EatOutAwards, to catch all the action on the day.
Retail Capital, the market leader in business finance, has advanced over R1.2 billion to business owners, R500 million of which has gone to providing restaurants with unsecured and convenient access to working capital when they need it. Due to the flexible repayments and unrestricted use of the funds, many business owners have had the empowering opportunity to expand their businesses, restaurant or offerings, revamp their current facilities or had assistance with the seasonal trade cycles so commonly experienced in their industry.
