Butter all-day Breakfast & Bistro Bar (City Centre)

If a cosy, comfy setting, is your thing can pop into Butter Cafe to enjoy a delightful cup of hot chocolate (R28). There’ll always be a happy tune in the background and friendly faces to greet you.

Big Dog Café (Gardens)

Big Dog Café can serve you coffee in more than 15 ways, but also caters for chocolate lovers with dark and white hot chocolate (R25). For an extra-special occasion, try espresso poured into a tempered chocolate disk paired with house-made tonka bean ice cream.

The Creamery (Mouille Point, Constantia, Newlands, Durbanville, Palmyra Junction)

The Creamery is one of Cape Town’s favourite ice cream shops, but it also offers some of the best hot chocolate in the city (R33).

Bootlegger

If you’re looking for an established coffee empire, look no further than Bootlegger. They’re offering a new delicious coconut hot chocolate that will certainly hit the spot this winter (R30). It’s made with coconut milk and raw cacao and completely vegan. It’s also quite light so feel free to have a snack, too!

Honest Chocolate Café (City Bowl)

Whether you enjoy your hot chocolate short and dark or tall and milky or espresso-style, Honest Chocolate serves up some seriously decadent hot chocolates (R45).
