Las Palmas Taqueria (Florida Road)

Las Palmas tacos and burritos always go down a treat! They are known for their birria style tacos. Taco flavours include chicken, prawn, lamb and beef tacos. Their burrito selection includes vegetarian (R110), chicken (R130), beef (R140) and lamb (R170). The owners have both been to Mexico and not only know what authentic Mexican tacos should taste like, but they source their peppers and recipes from Mexico by way of California and Texas. Their head chef, Mekbib Kassa, has worked in an authentic taqueria in Las Vegas and 5 star kitchens under Gordon Ramsey, so they spare no expense on bringing their customers the same taste they would get in Mexico. Lawmans Cantina (Westville)

Whether you’re looking for crispy tacos, traditional burritos, cheesy nachos or delicious quesadillas, Lawmans has you covered. Although the menu is quite simple – the quality and pricing is sure to make your mouth water. Classic crispy taco (R90) and burrito (R99) fillings include bbq beef mince, cancun style chicken mince, slow cooked pulled pork, bbq soya mince (v) and refried beans (v). Be sure to try out their daytime specials – Chip-A-Rito (R47) which is a Durban style burrito packed with chips, cheese, their signature ranch sauce and delicious pulled-pork gravy or the Californian Burrito (R89) which is packed with your choice of protein, chips, cheese, tomato and red onion salsa, and their signature ranch sauce.
