Since the announcement that South Africa would be returning to a level four lockdown, many restaurants have taken to social media to announce their plans going forward. Whether temporarily closing or taking measures to serve customers curbside only or via a hatch, restaurants are doing what they can to assist in flattening the curve. This includes dine-in options and homemade family meals, with chefs and restaurateurs taking orders via WhatsApp, email, direct messaging or online food delivery platforms.

Offering takeaways or food deliveries? Let us know what you’re doing or what your favourite restaurant is doing. In the meantime, here is the list of restaurants offering a solution to dining during self-isolation or social distancing. We’ll be updating it regularly, so check back to see what your favourite spot is offering.

Brik Café: Choose from one of four food boxes (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free or the Brik Box), which all come with a range of pantry goodies and treats. You can also include optional add-ons from local suppliers. Deliveries are every Wednesday and Friday (order by 9am for same-day delivery).
