Beerhouse (Fourways)

There’s more than just beer on offer here and if you time it correctly, you can get a great deal. From Wednesdays to Sundays, starting at 11am, you can enjoy a burger and selected beer (or glass of house wine) for R99.

Bossa (Roodepoort)

At Bossa, Mondays are all about burgers and you can have yours for just R59. On Tuesdays you’ll want to go for a mushroom melt sirloin or a chicken schnitzel for R98.

The Colony Arms (Craighall Park)

Well known for its karaoke parties on Saturdays, The Colony Arms also has lunch specials during the week. From 12pm to 3pm you can enjoy a beef burger for R30, a chicken prego for R30 or a steak-and-Guinness pot pie for R40, to name a few.

Founders at Giles (Craighall Park)

From Mondays to Thursdays, this Joburg institution runs meal deals that are hard to resist. On Mondays you can get a 250g sirloin for R65; on Tuesdays two 200g pork chops go for R75; on Wednesdays a 250g beef or chicken burger is only R65; and on Thursdays a T-bone steak goes for R80.

The Joshua Tree Restaurant (North Riding)

Good music, great food, refreshing drinks and a welcoming atmosphere are all to be found at this trendy spot. Every day from 12pm to 2pm, you can choose between four dishes (rump steak, beef burger, chicken prego or fish and chips) for just R59.

Lago Puccini (Boksburg)

From Mondays to Fridays, 11am to 4pm, Lago Puccini offers dishes from a dedicated pub menu, featuring baskets, pasta, trinchado, burgers and rump steaks.

The Radium Beer Hall (Orange Grove)

As the oldest surviving bar in Johannesburg, Radium is a one-of-a-kind restaurant with a story to tell. If you eat here on a Tuesday, make sure to order the half-price pizzas, while on Thursdays you’ll want to go for the 500g queen prawns.
