Bellagio is a Mediterranean restaurant in Illovo who has won the American Express Fine Dining award from 2008 to 2016.

What a great place for a Sunday lunch. Sitting outside in the sun with a delicious spritz and friendly service, it doesn't get better. I would highly recommend taking friends and family to Bellagio, the vibe is great and the food is stunning. I had prawns to start and fish cakes as a main, they were both incredibly tasty! My only regret is that I did not have dessert. We will be back! Thank you to management for accommodating our large table and to the friendly waiters for being so attentive.

Had an excellent time here. The food was great, the family had a fantastic day out. Flowers were magnificent and the staff were so friendly. Our orders came so fast and the food was outstanding! I have not had such great quality of service in ages. The wine list was also a great treat. You cannot leave without having one of their delicious desserts, I would recommend the cheese cake, it is literally to die for!

Bellagio is one of the best restaurants in Johannesburg! The food is top class and the service was excellent. It is a restaurant with great class and atmosphere. I would recommend for everyone who is looking for fantastic atmosphere and even better food!

Have been a patron at Bellagio restaurant Illovo with my family and associates for more than 10 years. Until April 2021 had always enjoyed going there not just for the food but the sense of privacy and safety given the location. However, after being assaulted by patrons at the restaurant I realize that I am not safe there afterall and the management have failed to provide a safe environment. Moreover despite my requests I have received zero assistance from the management with the on going criminal investigation.

Bellagio Illovo is definitely one of Johannesburg’s hidden gems ! Love the decor , flowers and ambience and the food and service is exceptional! Complimentary bread baskets and zucchini fritti - which is rare these days ! On our last visit we had the salmon ceviche, the soufflé and shared the seafood risotto . All perfect! Understated elegance and unobtrusive staff. Great wine list !
