The new owners of this fabulous establishment have hit the nail on the head! The welcome you receive on arrival will make it your Cheers Pub, where everyone knows your name. I love going there. I am also totally comfortable going on my own if Darling is otherwise engaged :-) The decor is rustic relaxed and pubby on one side with a more elegant dining area on the other. Oh and do not for one minute forget the amazing outdoor dining/drinking/ overlooking the mountains area at the back. This is not to be missed on those hot summer days, neither Autumn, if you cuddle up close to the one next to you! Linda and James have given locals a place to gather once again, to welcome strangers who leave as friends and return again and again.. and again.! There is no age definition here, they all just get on. Its soooo refreshing to see the younger set walk in and hug and greet the more "mature" lot at the pub or in the restaurant dining area cheering for their rugby team. The food.... oooh the food... there is absolutely something for every palate, be it a simple Hamburger,,,which is not that simple,,,,,design goes into these burger and they are magnificent to behold, never mind the flavours and textures that are woven between two seemingly innocent home made buns.... The steaks are masterful, aged to perfection, which is rare in these days of "fast food" A number of options available like the Slow Steak,... with Snails,,,, or the Ai Caramba....for those who like things a little spicier! Sides are included and yours to select. Specials are run on a regular basis and recently the Bunny Chow Fridays were a huge hit! There is often live music, but it is such a great place, you don't miss it if it is not there. Background music is perfect... for all ages.. and the mother grundies! Let me finish by saying, if you do not visit Iron Crown Pub and Grill,,,,,, your loss people.. so I for one and going to become one of those regulars and will greet you heartily even if you are a stranger that will soon be a friend. Ring the bell and you are in for a surprise! You will get your name on the wall 'For whom the bell tolls".. go on I dare you.... See you there!
