What divine food. I had one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. It was amazing! The cocktails are divine. A very chilled place.
What started out as a fantastic evening with good friends, good food, great cocktails and even better ambience - despite the persisting rain - was dismally ruined by a waitress, who although trying her best to cope with a table of 12, obviously has yet to 'learn' the basic etiquette when dealing with a customer and an incorrect order. Firstly, always assume the customer is right - is that not the rule of thumb? Secondly, do not ever challenge your customer from across the bar in front of other patrons accusing your customer of giving you the incorrect order when, as a waitress you should be confirming the order prior to placing it and then bringing out the incorrect order. It does not bode well and leaves a considerably 'bad' taste in one's mouth especially after enjoying what was essentially a delicious meal. Word of advice - teach your staff to deal with conflict situations in a more mature and professional manner. The results, you may find, will be a far better outcome than what your waitress experienced afterwards ultimately resulting in her losing what would have been an exceptional tip over a R38 'brownie". Otherwise the rest of the staff were well mannered and extremely helpful although in saying that, the manager on duty that night lacks considerable etiquette too as not once did he come over to us to apologise for the mix up but instead sent his newbie waitress to the sort out the mess with the result that it was handled in a complete and utter debacle.
