Owner's description

LAZARI is a friendly neighbourhood café serving breakfast all day, delicious home baked treats and daily lunch specials.  It's a great place for a coffee catch up or a business meeting. There is also a good drinks list with great beer and wine options available.

    Delicious salad and homemade bakes for any time of the day.

    I have eaten here two times. The second time I had returned with friends because the food was so good the first time around. Unfortunately, although the flavours were once again excellent and the portions huge, the service was slow (we waited for almost an hour for our food) and the food was luke-warm when it arrived. Sadly, I don't think my friends will be eager to return.

    Went there last night for a quick meal, had the lamb curry, my fiance had the lasagne . Lamb mustve been from last week, it was dry and tasteless, seemed like they were trying to hide it in the curry sauce. The lasagne arrived cold, but post microwave heating it wasnt bad. Will now only go to Lazari for their soup of the day selection.

    I bought two cupcakes at Lazari at the Cape Quarter yesterday after hearing from numerous people that they were amazing. Well, something must have changed because they were possibly the worst cupcakes Ive ever had! They were dry and bland and the icing tasted of absolutely nothing, it was like eating plastic! They ended up in the bin. I called this morning to tell them and the manageress I spoke to seemed at a loss for words, she didnt even take down my name and contact details or apologise. Ive e-mailed the owner, lets see if he responds.
