Spent a weekend in Greyton with my wife, I live and work in the CBD surrounded by lovely restaurants and cosy bars and because of that I 'think' I have some taste. Well to my surprise, I walked into the posthouse. Its décor is a mix between farmhouse and a really expensive house ( my wife was convinced out table was a wildly expensive antique! ) anyway. The Staff were all smiles and seated us in front of a roaring fire. They explained the menu to us and recommended a few wines and our night was off to a good start. But then the food arrived? It was amazing? Like Cape Town standard, impress the wife, wow standard. Simple but crafted. We later found out that they had hired a new guy in the kitchen but whatever the case its honestly a great restaurant. No white linen or suited stuffy waiters. Just good and homely. I would drive from Cape Town to go back ( and we have! ) Fantastic
