We loved our Monday evening experience at this restaurant. Not many turn away as many guests as they did simply because they were fully booked.
I ordered the Dutch Meatballs as my main, my partner ordered Lamb Chops. The food was well prepared and as good as our starters.
Upon arrival we were met by a delightful host, who settled us in, presented the menu on a blackboard and chatted us through the order.
The wine steward was knowledgeable and knew the range of wines.
Once our main had arrived, things unraveled. Food was excellent, but it was clear that the new person who now took care of our table was simply not up to scratch. 20 minutes after finishing our main, our table had still not been cleared.
Another five minutes and we were not introduced to desert menu yet.
We left. I felt let down by the service. Such a high standard until the main meal, then nothing.
