Stanford is fast becoming known for its food heroes, and the Saturday morning market brings those heroes and shoppers together. Anything you could want to whet your appetite will be on offer, including kitchen-made Italian-style cheeses, seasonal fresh vegetables, pâtés, breads, pastries, preserves, oils, meat products and free-range eggs.
Ethical shopper tip: Cheeses are made from milk from local free-range Ayrshire and Jersey cows, and eggs are produced by farm chickens. Most stallholders are committed to sourcing and selling locally made products.
