Named for the warm winds of the Mediterranean, Sirocco is a popular eatery where Knysna's fabulously hip and design-conscious often gather over long lunches and lazy dinners. The restaurant is dramatically situated on the water’s edge in the trendy Thesen Harbour area, so it's only fitting that the menu features a large selection of shellfish – from spicy Thai prawn stir-fry or oriental mussels topped with lemon grass, chilli and coriander, to Chef Hebel’s take on bouillabaisse, grilled petit poussins with olive oil and lemon, or a tender chargrilled fillet of beef.
We visited Sirocco last night and it was terrible! The service was shocking with the waitress plonking our food on the table. Never checking if everything was ok. The front of house manager was chatting to staff all night and never came to check on the table. Definitely will not go back.
