The best sushi place in Joburg - providing a slice of Asia through their decor. With their week night sushi buffet you can't go wrong!

Best value sushi in Cape Town. Sakura is a quiet little place, and while it does not have the best of everything, the prices more than make up for it, even the drinks are well priced. The Calafornia Rolls were the best I have ever tasted and the Nagiri was delicious. The only thing lacking was the Maki, which was tasty, but had a chewy consistancy. I will definatly become a regular after my visit.
Low key and serious about sushi, this new star in the firmament of Little Mowbray’s restaurant stretch, delivers the goods. With a stimulating menu, some quirky spelling thrown in for authenticity and awe-inspiring sushi, unassuming has never been this rewarding. The Sakura Sushi, a fine crafted dream of prawn, salmon, avo and caviar vies with the Bamboo Roll, swathed in cucumber instead of rice, for original offering. The crispy prawn roll with it’s cheeky tempura prawn tails sticking out twin ends, is the hands down winner for decadence and the prize for an old favourite made good goes to the salmon roses. Although the visual scene is not the prime attraction, the mood is relaxed, the service friendly and the prices reasonable. Sakura does sushi, not wine, so bring your own. With a corkage fee of only R10, it is well worth the pre-dinner rummage in the wine rack or trip to the corner store.
