What is a “Burger Joint”? A place where they serve burgers right? Wrong! At Saints Burger Joint, we’ve created a place to pair burgers with other foods, great beer and innovative drinks. It’s a place with a vibe.
Ok, so what makes our food different from the other guys? We have a food philosophy, a real one. We don’t take shortcuts on quality.
How many times have you heard the line, “We only use 100% pure beef patties”? We’ve taken it a step further. We grind our own A grade South African meat on site!
Our ingredients are all locally sourced, free range products. Always fresh, never frozen.
Our bread is baked fresh daily on site.
We even run against the grain on our bar menu, sourcing a wide range of craft beers, authentic Russian Vodka and have put together unique cocktail and wine lists for you to enjoy.
Because, when done properly, a Burger Joint rocks!
Saints Burger Joint. “To be a rock and not to roll!”

Whenever we take our dogs for a walk on the beach, on the way back they drag us to Saints Burger Joint because they know it is a dog friendly restaurant where the staff happily provide them with bowls of clean water almost before we can sit down.
It is also the go-to casual eatery to take visitors, as the location is superbly scenic, and the visitors are always impressed by the views.
The biggest problem with the food is deciding what to order, so we usually start with Irish Nachos while taking our time to whittle down the choices available. We have no favourite dish as everything we have tried has always been delicious.
The cocktails and spiced shakes ought to come with a warning of how addictive they are, while only place I will allow my husband to order a red headed slut is from their bar.

We got seated and were expecting more people in our party so the waiter asked us and then left us alone after dropping off the menus. The menus are covered in grime, are sticky and feel so dirty had to wash our hands after touching them. When our waiter arrived we gave all our orders but she wasn’t sure about certain things so went to ask management it was only later when another waiter came that we discovered she was a trainee waiter. We ordered drinks, I ordered a cucumber mint ice tea but ten minutes later they told us they were out of stock so I ordered something else. The drinks all came at different times so half the party were just sitting there without anything for a while. Overall we had been here about an hour before we placed our food order. We ordered mainly side dishes because they don’t offer many vegetarian options. We ordered a pizza and asked to substitute the bacon with avocados and the waiter said sure. When the bill came they had charged us extra for the avocados instead of substituting the price; the waiter then told us that they don’t do substitutes but he did not make that clear when we ordered otherwise we would have choosen something else. They do make it clear that when you order only one side is free but it is unclear what are sides for instance someone ordered a burger and a side was the chips with the burger, the sauce inside the burger and the sauce that is outside the burger (I say it like that because the menu makes you think both sauces are in the burger and not accompanied with the burger). On the bill we noticed two additional charges of R15. These were for tomato sauce and hot sauce we had asked for to accompany the chips we had ordered. That was surprising as many restaurants usually are fine with putting a bottle of tomato sauce on a table to enjoy with the chips they give you with no additional charges. For a few drinks (non alcoholic and things like a can of coke), nachos (which were actually potatoes), one burger, one pizza and three side dishes the bill came out to about R1000. If you eat there watch out for additional charges, read all clauses on the menu and check clearly with your waiter about additional charges as they are aiming to scam you. The waiter also got upset when we told him about not being clear about the substitution situation. Overall we had waited a long time on dirty tables for bad service, hidden charges and mediocre food.

I visited Saints on Friday, the 16th of June 2017. I didn't know what to expect, all i wanted was a seat on the deck, in the sun and in full view of Cape Town's beautiful mountain and sea. Instantly impressed by the ambiance.
I ordered "Sweet Child O mine" which includes two sides of your choice - talk about variety! i honestly didn't expect something decent because my meal was quite affordable. To my surprise - i received a more than value for my money!!! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal - everyone at my table enjoyed their meal! the best i've tasted by far and i will definitely be returning to try out the rest of the menu. Great beer!!! Great Food!!! Great Company!!! my meal was tasty, my salad was fresh and my chips were top notch!
Overly impressed! thank you for a wonderful experience.
