Pickles” as nicknamed by the new owners, has been a lifelong dream of the Van Wyk family. They have been loyal patrons since the bistro first opened its doors in 2004. When the opportunity came to own their favourite restaurant, Ben and Adri, along with their son, Jaco and wife Simone, could not tame their excitement.
Patrons can now expect an entire new recipe with a pinch of passion and that special touch to make good food taste great, complimented with the perfect selection of wine.

We stayed over and checked all the restaurants out during the day. These guys had the best prices and wow - when we ate the food was out of this world. CW, the chef, prepared whole trout stuffed with haloumi, tomatoes and caramalized onions. Then of course the chocolate cake- wow. Best I have ever tasted. By the way - I am a professional chef myself. Good going. Congrats CW.

After reading about this place I just had to go and try their duck and berry sandwhich - I loved it. Since then we have been there a few times and I was impressed. Waiters are always friendly, the food is great, and we always leave with lots of coffee beans! A favourite for my family!
Used to be quite impressed with Pickles and Things but over the last year or so the attitude seems to be increasingly careless of their customers' needs and so the service levels are approaching ground zero!
