Pichi Pichi Sushi Bar

I was excited to find out that there was a new sushi place in Braamfontein as it's very difficult to find good sushi in and around the CBD area. I've visited Pichi Pichi twice and the first experience was pleasant and the sushi was delicious. My second experience however was certifiably horrible. They have great deals and having purchased one for a 32 piece platter, I neglected to make a reservation as I knew that the place was rarely full. Upon arrival there were perhaps 2 parties in the restaurant but the waitress refused to allow us to redeem our voucher citing the fact that the terms & conditions indicated that we needed to make a reservation. This was a fair point but we were in the restaurant, starving and had already paid for our meal. The waitress was rude, combative and inhospitable and other staff did nothing to try and find a solution. They were adamant that they would not help us and that we should basically leave. After about 30 minutes of begging and trying to negotiate (we didn't leave because we had already paid for our meal!) we were seated and served in a then empty restaurant. I will regrettably never support this establishment again as I have never been treated so poorly as a customer.
