With a passion for food and a love of great tastes, Pepe’s Restaurant was made reality by Yvonne and Pepe Silvestri (brother and sister), being a life long dream they opened the Restaurant in 2001, in Modimolle.
To be found in one of the oldest houses in Modimolle, built in the late 1800’s as housing for British officers who were based in South Africa, while it was under colonial rule. The Anglo boer war broke out in 1899, a concentration camp was built right across in 1901, and on this site a school was built, a wall on the school premises commemorates this site.
In the 1920’s a Jewish man bought the mill and the house and grounds adjacent, a employee bought the house from him in the late 1930’s and they lived in the house from then on until the 1990’s, a place rich in history.
Serving Italian Favorites mixed with traditional grills, made this little place rather famous throughout Limpopo. The longest running privately owned restaurant in Modimolle, this is simply to put it the best place to dine at.
We are one of the best established restaurants in the area, family friendly with something on the menu for almost everyone, you will find our charming atmosphere and great ambience a great night out, or even a great venue to entertain delegates for a business lunch. We accommodate functions and groups as well, so for an unforgettable dining experience, come and visit our little gem in the bushveld located in Modimolle on the main road.
We were looking for an ice cold beer on a warm summer's day and was sent to Pepe's by a friendly girl at the Landmark! The evening we decided to go back and had the best cappuccino ever!
The best place to dine in the Waterberg!
