My daughters and I visited this restaurant on Saturday. Girls were a bit nervous eating out with covid still being a huge issue. But the waiter ensured we had a lovely table outside in the fresh air and them came out food which was amazing. You cannot find better prawns anywhere

What a terrible experience we had at the V&A Waterfront yesterday, 21 March 2018. We were a party f 4 and ordered the straight forward fish & chips, my fish & one other at the table were definitely off, it was brown & soggy, not firm white FRESH fish. We are not people to complain & send food back so we didn't do that but did inform the waiter that the fish was not fresh. Upon leaving we approached the manager (RAY), once again to inform him that the fish was not fresh & he had the audacity to argue with us - the fact that we ate what we could, paid the bill, tipped the waiter - he still ARGUED with the customer, insisting that the fish was fresh, had a stinking attitude about it . All he could have done was apologize and and ensure that the kitchen doesn't send out bad food. RAY, you should not be in a management position, you have no customer service skills and my family & friends will NEVER again support your restaurant. You DO NOT argue with your customer.

Lesson learnt: never eat or pay for food that is not satisfactory, don't feel bad about insisting on getting what you pay for simply because there are assholes like Ray.

The server was a lovely guy on his first night. I couldn't help but feel sorry for him, though, as he was yelled at by his manager in front of everyone for things that were beyond his control, and as some people just flat-out left after waiting too long for their food. We order starters, mains, and desserts, and waited 45 minutes before our mains came out (they were average at best) - only after we reminded them did we get the starter. I wouldn't recommend this particular branch.

Absolutely terrible service! Waited 15min just for the waiter to come to our table to take our order. Then the food comes before the drinks and the fish was cold! Then having to wait another 20min to fix the cold fish. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Do I have to give a star?
