Mother’s Ruin – Gin Bar

Last night we were very excited to try out cape towns much raved about gin bar. Unfortunately a brilliant concept lacked in it's execution. We thought we would be taken on a gin journey or at least meet people who have the same passion for our favourite drink. Instead we were handed a paper menu that merely listed various gins, much like a google internet search. The 'light meals & tapas' is misleading in your review as there are only very small cheese and charcuterie platters available. The lighting was quite clinical until later when someone located the dinner switch and service was a little bizarre as you need to order at the bar where the card machine did not work. Perhaps it is my fault for expecting more but I was disappointed to see so much potential go to waste.
