Fantastic food - each dish prepared with passion and pride, the menu is filled with classic staples, all done extremely well. Tasty food, friendly staff and great value for money, makes one want to move into the neighbourhood albeit to make it your local pop in.

Because Moltenos is a little way out of the main town centre, (its situated at Onrus) its one of the best kept secrets in the area. Even when most establishments in town are bleak and empty, you will always find this little gem packed and buzzing with both locals and vistors alike. The vibe is infectious and the regulars know that booking is advisable. The staff compliment the restaurants relaxed atmosphere and whilst casually attired (theres no one T shirt fits all!), they serve patrons with a friendly efficiency weve seldom experienced elsewhere.The food is unpretentious, generous and always freshly prepared. Whatever our mood, whether just popping in for a quick pasta/pizza or something more substantial like a fillet steak done perfectly to order, a lamb shank slowly roasted or fresh seafood we have always found a delicious option.Our evenings there end with desert coffees, chatting to interesting characters at the bar or on the stoep, full tummies, happy hearts and our promise to return the following week!
