We had delicious fish with a very good salad, in fact the fish was so good that we both said it was the best that we had ever eaten anywhere. We shall be going back - the sooner the better. “Mangoes”

Disastrous evening. I should have been wary when we sat down at sticky plastic table cloths - a real turn off. Fish was over cooked and whether it really was Cape salmon remains debatable.

I recently went to the Kingfisher in George, and the food was absolutely delicious. The oysters were huge for the very reasonable price that was charged. The seafood was fresh and not overcooked, and I would not hesitate recommending them, and can't wait to go there again!

I booked a table for 10 people at this Mossel Bay restaurant with specific questions about their sushi menu . This was on Wednesday and the booking was for 3 days later (Saturday).

It was for my wifes birthday and I then also invited my son and his wife from Plettenberg Bay as well as my daughter and her fiance from Cape Town . My wifes sister was also invited with her husband and that made 10 with the children included . I live in Calitzdorp and am a stained glass artist .

Arriving at the restaurant 10 minutes early we sat down and looked at the menu . When we asked for the sushi menu we were told that there was no sushi for the whole past week because apparently the chef did not show up . Imagine the shock and surprise because 8 of us were there for sushi only .

Of course we left and went home after spending well over R1,000.00 for fuel etc for this trip . I feel that this is one of my worst restaurant experiences in 60 years . They should have mentioned the fact that there was no sushi is available when I booked even if no mention about the sushi menu was made .

I am going to do my utmost best to discourage anybody from going there ever again .
