I thought I would give you the reason why we have not come to the restaurant for so long.
It could be said that we were fairly regular customers of yours for many years, eating at your establishment more than once a month, but the last few time have been progressively worse. The last time being the most horrendous. We booked our table as we normally do a few days before arriving. On the day, you were once again short staffed. You did come and mention this to us, but it has become apparent that you have fired most of the waitresses that have worked for you over the years. You did mention that theft and them not been honest had a great deal to do with this.
Over the years I have seen a decline in what you have offered as a service to the local customers. We have always enjoyed your set menu, especially as there were five of us and you were very reasonably priced. One time we arrived and we were told that the set menu had changed and you no longer did the standard set menu. You had however changed the set menu, but had also increased the price ludicrously. As a result we have not been back for a couple of weeks.
Although I have missed the atmosphere, we made another booking for one of your Sunday buffets. All the traditional meals that you used to make, have changed for cheaper dishes and when I asked you about this, you said that you wanted a change and not serve the same thing every month. I however, have always enjoyed your set menu and your traditional buffet, the first one, where you served sweet and sour beef and chicken, your famous mandarin style beef. Even our children did not eat, as there was nothing for them, except for the prawn crackers that they enjoyed. I did however pay half price for them to eat prawn crackers.
Please let me know when you bring back the old set menu or the traditional buffet and I will frequent your establishment once again.

I am a regular customer at Jade Court and i never regret going there for sushi.
The staff is is great the sushi is AMAZING and i really enjoy the view.
Definitely the best sushi I've eaten in Cape Town.

This was our 2nd visit. The food is of excellent quality - the service slow but worth the wait due to the quality of the produce. We ordered the sushi buffet and our son (13) ordered Honey Chicken R79. He was asked by the waitress if he would like noodles or rice with this (as if it was part of the meal) - he ordered noodles. When the bill came we were charged R26 for a very small bowl of fried noodles which amounts to R105 for a very basic meal for a 13 year old - we questioned this for with the waitress and asked to speak to the manager - the chef aka 'manager' came out VERY aggressively and said he's been in the business for 21 years - he personally fried the noodles and if we don't like it we don't have to come back - well I suppose that is our answer - you come into our country and treat SA customers like this we will vote with our feet - what is R26 to you ? Worth a losing a another R500+ meal ? - guess so !
