Still reeling from being shouted at by the proprietor of this establishment for bringing a wine for corkage that was on the wine list. It was a locally produced vegan wine. Very upsetting experience. Shocking service all round. Needless to say, we still tipped the poor waiter. Appalling conduct by someone in the service industry. Very disturbing to be shouted at by such an aggressive man in front of other tables.

We visited The Hungry Monk for dinner on Friday evening. the waiter was abit slow in bringing our (mismatched) wine glasses and opening the wine, but the starter of ham and pea soup arrived quickly and was delicious. Then the long wait for our mains started., we had ordered a lamb shank and a pasta dish, pierogi. During our hour long wait we watched as our fellow patrons were brought the incorrect orders, the waiter forgetting some orders, the citchen running out of their special curry of the day and just general all round confusion. When our food finally arrived it was tasty, although luke warm, and by that time we were long past being able to enjoy it. Will definitely not visit this establishment again.
