The Harvest Table Bistro in the original mill room (believed to have been built by Jan Mostert in the late 18th centuary) pays homage to this fertile valley’s proud fruit growing legacy. They combine fresh local produce and hearty peasant-style dishes influenced by not only South Africa, but also New Orleans, the Mississippi, North Africa and the Mediterranean. They also offer rustic wood-fired pizzas.
Breakfast is served until 11:30am daily, except on Sundays when breakfast ends at 11am. On Sundays the a la carte bistro makes way for a three course Sunday lunch brimming with local meats, vegetables and fruit (a la carte menu also available). So be sure to reserve your table for this one, because it is a firm favorite amongst the locals! Sunday lunch is served from 12 noon until 2pm. Their wine cellar stocks mostly wines from the Breedekloof, Tulbagh, Wolseley and Ceres areas.
