Very disappointing meal and service. The food was tasteless and tough. Chicken salad consisted of lettuce, tomato and very old and dried out pieces of chicken. When we spoke to the manager she became very irate and made it clear that she was more angry that we were unhappy with the food, than apologetic that the food was inedible.

We waited for over an hour for our meal. Ordered expensive rump steaks and got tough sirloin, very dissappointing and will not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Contrary to many of the other reviews our experience after several visits to this Guido's restaurant during our stay in Port Alfred during August has been excellent. We found the staff to be friendly and efficient, the food has always been very good, the atmosphere is great and the presence and interaction with the owners made us feel very special.

On the 12th May 2014 we had a snack at the Guido's Beachfront restuarant.
When we received our bill it was +/-R30.00 overcharged.
We finally managed to get the person in charge to rectify the bill.
The waiter then brought the card device and my wife punched in the relative data. The waiter then informed us that the device was faulty and had not captured the info. He then brought another device and we again punched in the data
After returning to Midrand we scrutinised our bank account and found that we had been charged twice.
All attempts to contact the restaurant ,or the franchise, by listed e-mail addresses, (sothatI can get a refund of the extra amount),has proved futile -( so far ).

The most awful and embarrassing meal ever. Took visiting guests to Guidos, we are Eastern Cape locals and don't expect much, but this was embarrassing. It is not hard to make food hot, or a decent portion, pizza was congealed. Five mushrooms rolling round a limp piece of lettuce and a re- used slice of tomato. We took doggy bags and binned it. A new all time low for a restaurant anywhere, I have had better Pizza in Lagos, Nigeria! Lots of locals talking, you won't be open long. Pity.
