Food Fundi Café is a day-time restaurant and coffee shop in Ballito, KZN, offering all-day breakfast and brunch options like Eggs Benedict, or loaded avo toast with pumpkin seeds and artichokes. Ingredients are key in our rustic farm-to-table cooking, with seasonal menus that celebrate KZN produce. For lunch, opt for the hearty bowl salads, or wood-fired pizzas and burgers using Midlands cheeses and local herbs. Pulled pork cooked overnight in the pizza oven on a burger bun is a highlight, and on the weekends the vintage smoker gets fired up to slow-cook items for the deli, like smoked calamata olives and Baba Ganoush. Expect excellent coffee from skilled baristas, and freshly baked goods from double-chocolate brownies, Rocky Roads and carrot cake, to cheesecakes and biscotti. The wine list is sophisticated, a small cocktail list with delicious gin options, and beer on tap is available; all enjoyed in the balmy Ballito sunshine of course! There is plenty of rustic outdoor seating, in a safe, family-friendly, farm-style environment.
