If you're a lover of crispy duck and pancakes then this is the spot for you ... we live close by so perfect to pop down Dynasty any day of the week. The duck is expertly carved at your table and the pancakes are wafer thin .. just like I like them. They have an extensive menu with sushi and tradition Chinese food but for me it's all about the duck!
We have been regulars at Dynasty for over 12 years since we started Main Ingredient below the restaurant in 2002. The sushi is some of the best in Cape Town and they have an extensive and authentic Szechuan/Shanghai menu, which is borne out by the number of Chinese customers who are also regular visitors. Shirley and Alex have given us wonderful service through the years and we keep coming back
Authentic is the only way to describe this - a no-frills Eastern eatery transporting one to the Orient. Service is a little on the slow side, but well worth the wait. Dumplings & the Peking Duck are my favourites.

Average Chinese food. The service we had was fine. Food was overpriced and you have to order rice and noodles seperate from your main. There is room toward the bottom of the Chinese food chain for this diner.

Average but not really outstanding Chinese food. Unfortunately the new owner is trying to go up-market (with the prices) which is not justified. The atmoshere/interior is rather cold, like sitting in a 1970's canteen, and the service is struggling even with simple English.
