Cold Gold is an artisan producer of ice creams, sorbets and practically any frozen fantasy, based in Stellenbosch. All products are prepared from using only fresh, organic, seasonal and local ingredients sourced from local farms and small producers in the Winelands. Only the freshest ingredients are used and absolutely no artificial flavouring and colouring, no stabilizers, no preservatives and no chemicals are added.

Cold Gold believes that everybody should be able to have their dream dessert and eat it. Any ice cream dream can become a reality - even if you have special dietary requirements. They use homemade nut, rice, oat, quinoa, goat, seed or practically any milk, with or without eggs, with or without sugar.

The Cold Gold treasure freezer is the only place to find full cream Organic Jersey milk, fat free, paleo, banting and vegan ice creams and sorbets that taste like "the real thing" in over 800 flavours.

Paleo, Vegan, Banting diabetic or regular ice-cream/ sorbet made with natural ingredients. It's a visit for the whole family. The shop is a bit out of the way, but you can often find them at various slow markets and health shops around Cape Town. Even though I was wearing several layers of winter clothing, I was still tempted. After sampling a few flavors I settled on the almond milk chocolate vegan ice cream! Yummy! Take away tubs also available. Stick to the ice Creme, the cookies were dry and inedible.
