They are situated in the Drakensberg between a few big holiday resorts on a airfield. Next door is a craft brewery where they serve their burger menu as well. The restaurant is in an old hanger with a view of Cathkin and Champagne peaks.
The chef and owner has won Kokkedoor in 2014. They do functions at night and create menus specifically for the needs of a group. Groups even in daytime book platters in advance where they allow the chef to create any food.
They have a different approach to foraging, they colour and dye cloth from the onion skins , avocado pips , pomegranate , coffee and tea. They are also big on re-using their wastage. The egg trays are used to make paper mâche articles for lights and decor in the restaurant. They are in the process of setting up a coffee roastery next door and would like to create coffee infused dishes.
