We dined here on 07 May 2013 with a group.

No carvery were available as per the advertisements between half past 6 that we got there to half past 9 when we left. The menu on offer was very limited to that advertised. The desserts had a few options, one of them malva and custard. Both were burned so badly that no one could eat it. We then went for soft serve that was sour to the smell and worse to taste. We complained and the "manager on duty" told us to contact them the next day. He admitted to the food being burned and sub standard and said we should just try something else. I would not recommend this place to anyone, the venue is great but the food not even close to being on standard.

What was supposed to have been a year end celebration for our dept, turned out to be the biggest disaster ever. We, a company of 30 people did not have enough food, there were no plates available, the service was poor and when we asked the manager for plates, she merely shrugged her shoulders. The waitress reply was "so what". My first whiskey was 45 min into the afternoon. The second had a fly in it and the next one, the water was so dirty it looked worst than Hartebeespoortdam. This morning about half the staff were complaining about their stomachs and one lady could not even come in to work. Not half the food on the menu we received was served. there were actually only gravy in the pots. The ice cream was finished and the soda fountain served water! This was truly the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. Most of us left about 15h30 to 16hoo which should have been at least a 18hoo day. I would love for a health inspector to visit your restaurant. Be assured, you will be closed immediately

We had extremerly bad service on Friday, 23.11.2012. We were a big group of 50 people. Everyone accross the board gave very negative feedback. My staff are extremely unhappy about an outing that was supposed to be the highlight of the year. We were charged for cocktails which we never received. We were charged for 11 cocktails of the same type but amongst the ladies, we only received 6 of those. This raises the question, what about the rest of the bill? It took forever to receive our drinks. One of my colleagues waited nearly 2 hours to receive her drink. The cocktails were extremely poorly produced. Two of us had the same cocktail. The one was extremely weak whereas the other one was extremely strong. Normally they come with crushed ice but these were prepared with blocks of ice. All staff said that they waited at least 20 minutes for their drinks. I left at 15,30. When I left I was told that the staff still had R1800 left. 10 minutes later they were told that there was only R400 left. That is impossible. At the rate that drinks were served, staff could never have used up the total of R5500 within 2,5 hours. We will not visit this venue again and will advise all other staff from SANBS to do so.
