On the Northern slopes of Paarl Mountain you will find Pearl Mountain, a fifth generation farm dating back to the 18th Century.
Originally established in 1747 as a blacksmith's home and forge, today it is home to Pearl Mountain Wines, Blacksmith's Kitchen, and The Venue @ Pearl Mountain.

Made the mistake of going on a Monday ( closed Monday’s) but determined to try again, managed to go on Wednesday and was very thankful I did! Food was fantastic and the views of the mountains across the vineyard are breathtaking, definitely will be back, it’s worth the trouble

Very nice food. Their pizzas are amazing. Their pastas are yummy and I couldn't get enough of their veggie side.

Not a Cape Winelands experience. Virtually no wine list to mention, they insisted in charging us a R45 levy when we asked to bring in our own bottle of Sauvignon Blanc after being told that they had NO stock of any whatsoever for the foreseeable future! Very dissapointed in what we believed was one of the best restaurants in Paarl. Bring your own wine to make up their stock shortage and be prepared to pay for it. Rather phone ahead and check availability.

This is by far one of the Top 3 restaurants in Paarl.
Definitely the best steak in Paarl.
I've been to the Blacksmith's Kitchen twice now. They are situated high up between the vineyards and the view from there, looking down on the lights in the evening is spectacular.
On my first visit I had the Pork belly and on my second visit I had the Fillet Steak. Both were delicious and the steak was the best I had in years. Melt in the mouth.
We also don't leave without desert, what ever they have available for desert you can order, all their deserts or tarts are always 10 out of 10! Yummm.

You know when you're 8 months pregnant - you're tired, agitated and ever so slightly more volatile than a match tossed at petrol? You're not bothered to try anything new, and there's virtually nothing that can please you at this "swell" stage of your life.... Well, believe it or not there was! Blacksmiths Restaurant not only delivered the most fantastic service, but made a pizza for the history books! Based on my choice of toppings, which included Bacon, Blue cheese and fig - this pizza was magnificent! A thin and crisp crust, and the toppings fresh and tasty! Look, I'm certainly no push-over when it comes to restaurant meals - thus you can well take my word for it. But it didn't end there! Beyond this mesmerising culinary experience, you also get to enjoy the most breath taking scenery of this quaint and rustic setting - and an elevated panoramic view of the Paarl & Wellington Wine valley, will seduce you no end. Add to that a complimentary bowl of olives on arrival and a choice of well-selected wines to go along with what will ultimately be... one of your favourite Wineland outings ever. Cheers!
