Bartholomeus Klip is a charming small hotel for only 16 guests on a 3 000 hectare working wheat and sheep farm just over an hour away from Cape Town – ideally situated for exploring the famous winelands. There is a 4 000 hectare fynbos nature reserve, with a spectacular backdrop of mountains, to be explored on game drives or by mountain bike, and beautiful gardens with a unique swimming pool.
Bartholomeus Klip is famous for its food, which is generous, imaginative and mostly made from a variety of local produce. The conservatory is full of morning sunshine at breakfast time, and at night soft candlelight makes a romantic atmosphere for diners enjoying the gourmet evening meal. High tea, with its delicious array of sweet and savoury choices, is a speciality of the farmhouse. Day visitors are welcome but only with a reservation.
