The Atlantic Express Train Restaurant is steeped in History. It is synonymous with Sea Point. Everybody knows it as a landmark in Sea Point. The Atlantic Express Train Restaurant is a carefully restored railway carriage based on the theme of a dining coach, it is a prominent landmark and highly successful restaurant on Sea Point`s busy Regent Road. The Atlantic Express Train Restaurant has become a landmark in Cape Town, serving breakfast, light lunches and some substantial main meals.

    Authentic old train, creating a real cosy ambience. The steak is succulent and juicy. It comes in traditional barbecue as well as an Indian twist "Masala". The veggies are crispy and vibrant. The chips are very nice and not oily. The Green Thai Chicken curry is also excellent, so are the other items on the very large menu. The desserts are scrumptious and sometimes we pop in just for desserts.

    One of the employees stole my iphone when I was eating there a few nights ago. I told a friend about it who said he had a pair of sunglasses stolen there too. Management put on a real act when I reported the incident but it's a total scam. Food was terrible, too

    Fun and friendly experience with tasty meals. A really fun local dining experience. Not trying to be anything but Capetonian.

    Excellent Service and Food. Ordered the creamy pasta (mushroom and chicken), and crumb mushrooms. Pasta price was really worth it, was a huge portion, definitely going again. Staff made sure we had everything we needed, would totally recommend them

    Very good menu and our choice was delicious!. Went there on a recommendation, and it was an excellent choice. I also liked the nostalgic, historical train setting. Will definitely go again when in Cape Town!
