Awesome customer service, great vibe, gorgeous place, its like you are in heaven and do not want to return to earth, lol, food is tops, prices are reachable.

Forget about the breathtaking seafront views, Grand Africa is also gorgeously designed for plenty of Instagram moments! From giant hanging strawberries to a floral adorned bench swing, you'll have stories aplenty here. Other than the ambience and energy of this place, the food is pretty good. My fish and chips were flaky and crunchy, the perfect balance of textures. I didn't care for the mushy peas, but the accompanying tartare sauce was delish! Naturally, with this location, pricing is at a premium, but it's worth it for the beach sand between your toes and the fantastic service.

28 degrees and a stunning Friday night sunset - so the Grand was the perfect place to go with a small group to socialize and soak up the beautiful evening. The vibe is just amazing and so festive that it makes you feel like you're on holiday not just having a night out! Arnold our waiter could not have been nicer or more attentive and backed by a Floor Manager who was so congenial and supportive of him, that I told her she was amazing. With hundreds of people on the beach, service is critical and here the Grand whenever we go is top notch! We love the salmon and parma ham pizzas and always have avocado to up the deliciousness! Most of our friends had Burgers and raved so there was happiness all round. Great night out was had by all!

his has to be the restaurant with the best view and setting in Cape Town. Aesthetically I couldn't think of a single reason why you wouldn't want to go there, but after your sun downer drinks you waited 45 minutes for it just gets cold and dark. The service is atrocious, probably due to the sheer size of the restaurant. It take forever to receive and food, and the staff are just poorly trained(he put our very expensive merlot in an ice bucket and insisted that it was supposed to be that cold). We ordered a bunch of starters and sushi to share. The hot started were ALL cold, and the sushi never made it to the table. The mains were ok, but very expensive in my opinion (R170 for a burger which was in no way special -never mind the seafood or steaks) . Our sushi randomly arrived sometime during mains. We ordered desserts, but after waiting extremely long everyone was cold and tired so we cancelled the order and settled the bill. Long story short, I think this is a cool place for a laid back drink or 2 if you have guests, but is in no way a must see.

Poor service and dirty! This place could be a total gem but instead it has lackluster service, its food is of poor quality ( A pizza for R95.00) with yellow process cheese. I mean you could at least buy fake mozzarella! Service was pathetic to say the least. To get our bill we had to ask 5 time's and 45 minutes later it still did not arrive. We left your establishment with out paying, your staff did not even try and stop us. However in doing the right thing we did go back and did pay our own calculation after your staff could still not produce a bill. Did that money just end up in a staff members back pocket? Good luck with your future is seem rather dim to me!
