THE BEST minestrone soup I have ever tasted!!! The food is always amazing and the view is just 🤌🏻🥰❤️🏔

Disappointing mains, pork was chewy, fatty & grizzly, supporting act of rice carrot & zucchini was minimalist in portion size, the Thai curry was more soup-like, cheesecake dry, service ok, not brilliant. Generally a big let down after all the hype.

Wow! What a view, what a place, what wonderful expirience! Such friendly and excellent service. Have come multiple times with friedns and family. Lovely children friendly place with plenty of opportunity for the kids to play and explore. The beautiful lawn invites you for a picnic and the food at the post card has always exceeded my expectations! Looking very forward to my next visit!

This reststaurant has the potential to offer an outstanding experience, given its truly magnificent setting. Sadly, the service is totally lack-luster and completely lacking in even the most basic etiquette. After being seated, we waited ages to be served - not really that big of a deal as it was a lovely day & we were enjoying being there. When our drinks finally arrived, the glasses & wine was just plonked down on the table and eventually we had to ask someone to come over and open the bottle & pour. Sparkling water arrived in a bottle that had already been opened & was totally flat. And (my personal bug-bear!) there is nothing on offer for someone not drinking alcohol other than water, sweet fizzies or hot beverages. It’s so easy to have a non-alcoholic beer or a delicious Duchess Gin & Tonic on the menu & it constantly surprises me that so few restaurants offer anything like this. I can also never understand why serving staff are not offered even the most basic training - each person who came to our table (3 in all) stretched across or over one of us to pour wine or place food & plates were cleared from the table while we were all still eating. No one checked that we were enjoying our meal & we had to ask more than once for dessert menus, more water and the bill. Admittedly, these all sound like small, picky things but they are such basic elements of good service, it’s really disappointing & disheartening when they aren’t in place and totally spoils one’s experience. And it wasn’t a packed-to-the-hilt busy lunchtime either. The food was good but nothing special .... other than the Lemon Tart, which was excellent. Overall, a sadly disappointing experience.

Postcard Cafe is one of the most beautiful places I've been to, with its picturistique lake and the Jonkershoek mountains to stare upon. If you plan to come here for breakfast, make sure to walk around this place, to see and feel the nature that surrounds around. There is a good chance that you may end up spending half of the day here just soaking up the beauty of nature. The cafe is located in a very scenic wine farm named Stark Conde Nast. Try tasting some of their wines while you are here-which can be done on the deck in the middle of the lake! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. It was a bit of a coldish nippy day and since it was open seating, the waiters were nice enough to offer us blankets. The food, let me tell you something - We were a party of 6 and ordered a lot of different things from breakfast to dessert and shared everything on the table. We ordered a Croissant with Raspberry jam and Cheddar Cheese and a quiche. The Croissant was extremely crisp, fluffy,freshly prepared and tasty. The Quiche came with a garden salad on the side. We also ordered a few freshly baked buttery scones with Raspberry jam and grated cheese. For dessert, we ordered the raspberry almond tart and Tiramisu. I felt that the raspberry almond tart was a bit dry and cakey (not moist), but then, it tasted really good-and not overly sweet like most desserts. The Tiramisu on the other hand was a champion dish to end our breakfast experience. There are several parameters that sets apart a great restaurant from a mediocre one. Firstly - The food, Secondly - The ambiance, Thirdly - Staff. Food here was really good. Athough I've been to restaurants that serve better food than this, what sets this restaurant apart from other places is its natural beauty around the restaurant. The waiters were very friendly and really tried to make us comfortable. Though the restaurant was a bit pricy, I would probably go there again.
