This beautiful listed Heritage farmhouse building has been restored and converted into a Bar and Restaurant Where the old meets the new. The Hub of the venue is the stunning bar area where you can enjoy your drink in the warmth of the open fires and wait for a table or alternatively have a snack right there. With onsite parking facilities, enclosed outside seating and a kiddies play area, coupled with a large stoep and deck area you can enjoy the venue anytime of year come sunny days under the shade of the trees in the garden or those cold winter days sat by the fire.
Chef Lizette focuses on excellent flavours and freshest produce. With her eight years spent in Vietnam as a chef and then Country Manager for a Luxury boutique hotel group comprising of running five restaurants and two hotels, there is a large Asian influence on her menu, in addition to the North African and Mediterranean dishes. Lizette's lends itself to events, private functions and family parties and is defiantely the place to be in Hermanus.
Awesome restaurant, great staff, menu that is exciting and yummy! Not your run of the mill menu. Great local wines. Don't miss out on a great evening meal experience.
Had a delicious meal at Lizettes on Friday night, excellent service, good wine by the glass too. Can't wait to return, soon.
Brilliant lunch here on Saturday. Five of us shared starters as suggested on the varied menu - all were delicious. I particularly enjoyed the Vietnamese Pho Bo which was served with the building blocks of fish sauce, coriander, chilli, basil etc. so that one could flavour the meal oneself. My Heo Kho To was absolutely delicious and was served with a very generous portion of quails eggs. The atmosphere was great and the service unobtrusive, informed and polite. We loved it and will be back to try the other items on the menu.
What a lovely, refreshing restaurant. My husband and I dine there regularly. The food is always amazing, and our kids have somewhere to entertain themselves so we can enjoy a meal in peace. Great selection of very potent cocktails too, and wonderfully cheap, lovingly prepared kiddies meals which are very reasonable. I had the Harissa Lamb wrap with Tzatziki last night which was divine. Their Tom Yum Gai (Thai chicken soup with lemongrass and coconut milk etc) is authentic, tasty and rich. I also had a taste of my brother's Vietnamese linefish steamed in bamboo, which was delish. Highly recommended. I think they have a bright future ahead of them. The owners and staff are always friendly and welcoming.
