If theatrics and choreographed serving are what you're after, this restaurant might appeal to you. The staff are attentive and dedicated to ensuring you have a memorable experience. However, this is where the positives end. The food, unfortunately, does not live up to the establishment's high price point or expectations. The first course showed some promise, but it was a downhill journey from there. As a South African accustomed to exceptional dining experiences at places like La Colombe, both Homespun locations, and Vuur, I expected far more for the cost. This experience left me feeling disappointed. It seemed tailored for tourists who likely won’t return and therefore might overlook the underwhelming flavours and steep pricing. For locals who understand the calibre of Cape Town’s dining scene, this was a letdown.
